I an supposed to have an answer on Monday, but the thought is they will keep working because they are a vendor and what they are doing has nothing to do with the changes they are making in the plant. I'll post the answer as soon as I get one.

Your order will sit until the dealer "places" it against his allocation. The factory told the dealer they could order "X" number of camaros for the month. Everytime he orders one, it goes against his allocation. If he ran out or didn't have any at all, that order will sit there. You need to give them a call and find out when they intend to place your order. If it was most any other GM product, you would just sit back and your vehicle would come. This is different. Talk to the dealer, and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask, or search the forum, there has been lot's of info about dealer allocation. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Becky, if need be on Monday, 3-22-2010, do I have an option to change dealerships if need be, depending on what I find out with my specific dealer's circumstances..??

The order can be cancelled at this point, so you shouldn't have any problem.

Thanks Becky! I will go use Camaro tracker to see if I can find it. Then I will figure what all the status numbers mean from the other message here. That should distract me some while i wait for my long time coming Camaro. I am 47, started wanting one at 14!

I was going to order last year but then the wife needed a new car.. so I waited. Then my kids got new cars... so I waited... I am NOT waiting any more!

hello, i just special ordered a 2ss/rs from an anchorage alaska dealership on monday march 15,they said they put it in the system that day,, wondering if you could help me find out the status on my order,,,the order/confirmation # is (NVWRK1),,,,any and all help concerning this matter would be appreciated,,,,thank you

I found the same car i had ordered on cars.com. I went to kentucky and bought it. Love it.
Anyhow i just wanted to thank you for all you did! Without your help i'd still be at 1100. What you do for everyone is very special.
