Gave the dealership a deposit on Wednesday, but it took the manager until Friday to place the order. I had more information than they did.

I ordered: 6.2 L, V8, RS/2SS, Rally Yellow/Gray interior w/Cyber Gray Rally Stripes. Manual transmission. Ground effects package, Hurst short throw shifter, Sunroof, matching Rally Yellow engine cover, Gray w/Black stripes car cover.

Went and bought a binder with archival sheet protectors and loaded all my Dealer Order Paperwork, Initial Ordering Workbook, Sales Person Reference Guide, Spec sheets, and a few photos. Want to keep it all in good condition, one place, and have something to put all my future documentation in.

Just placed my order today. I am getting the inferno orange camaro with the 2SS/RS package, sunroof, inferno orange interior trim, black hood and hockey stripes, red with black stripe car cover, and the hurst short-throw shifter. I am excited and can't wait to get delivery of it, hopefully I can get it by April. Can anyone say ROADTRIP!

Yup ordered mine I was the second one to do it Here is what I got:

1LT
Yellow
Black Stripes Package
21' Painted Black Rims
Color Trim interior
Leather Seats

Im so stoked I cant wait to pick it up! Wish it was soon...

First thing to do is find out if the dealer still has any Camaros available. Then make sure they don't have a big mark up. if they do , take a look at MSRP and below thread.

I mailed my salesman a check and ordered mine over the phone

my dealship is 120 miles away and I didn't want to wait for this weekend. I know it sounds crazy and some might say "heck there isn't a local dealership??? - but Hey I am a camaro lover - I am loyal!!!!!

Butt I can tell you I will have a $hit eaten grin when I walk in and drive it away. God I hope it is warm this spring.....with my luck there will be 6" of new snow and salt on the roads.....Who am I kiding my luck is changing I am almost the owner of 5thG baby!!!!

Someone needs to do a ticker for the "projected delivery date of Late "March" I saw one on a dealer website for the camaro when I was surfing - it was awsome!!!! - As soon as someone hears their date on their car delivery we got to get "Date" thread going. Heck if I new more about computers I would love to do a ticker on my desktop for my date once I hear.

Do do I just go to my dealer, tell him I want to order a new camaro. Tell him my color and options. Then just give him my deposit? Or do you pretty much buy the car right then and there?

First check with your dealer or a dealer and see if they have one available - then he/she can walk you through it - They just needed my deposit - In my case I will not buy the car until I take delivery which is typical of most - but dobble check

.......and yes just tell them the options/color you are interested in.....that was the best for me...I actually broke down andgot the 21" black wheels.......I like to be diff and don't think a lot of them will be ordered with them - and the orange is going to look sweet with the black shoes................
