Other points, was it done on the same day making sure all the same weather conditions, temp, humidity, barometric pressure, same reaction time, on the same lane driven by the same driver.... all differences could cost a .1 + or - sec difference here and there. ony way to know is like I said before, lets get two owners head to head run several times swapping lanes each run, oh with STOCK cars NO MODS!!!! Until you do that it is all bench racing...

Not to mention they sold more 2010 Mustangs in 2009 then 2010 Camaros in 2009, granted the Camaro wasnt released until March, but still.
Maybe you need an eye exam? The only body panel I believe that is actually shared between them is the roof. Otherwise the front, side, and rear views are totally different. All they share is a common Mustang shape.

That was coming back from a nice ride last Wednesday, down 37 in Illinois.
This counting game is fun, on the way to work I saw 2 10 Camaros 0 Challengers and 0 2010 Mustangs. Willkeep you posted on any other counting developements.

So, you have experience with this new 5.0 V8 in a car that is not out yet? Also stock to stock, the Mustang has already beat the Ls3.......

I was reading the the Shelby GT350 is going to be $33,000 on top of the base price of the car. Looked pretty cool though.

Agreed, Shelby don't let his name go cheap. Can't blame him if I could get 33000 a pop for my name on something, you bet I would hahaha.

Only if you shift into 4th gear will you run faster than 110 or having a tail wind possibly. My car hits the fuel shut off in 3rd gear right at the traps or just before it , on every pass. Which in turn is killing my MPH for those who dont know there are 3 boxes at the end of the track. The 1st is to trigger and collect your MPH at that point. The second is the E.T. box and the third is another MPH box that calculates the time traveled between the first and last box to give you your MPH in the quarter mile. My car seems to run the better E.T. running it out in 3rd instead of shifting at the end of the track into 4th.

Really? Oh..the comparision by Motor Trend? Or another magazine?

While entertaining, I think we should wait until the 11s hit the drag strip. Also, we really should wait until the 2011 MY Camaro comes out before we say conclusively the 5.0 can beat the LS3, or even the L99 for that matter.

With that said, I'll concede the 11 GT is the quicker car by the reviews. Now unto people actually taking them to the strip and see who wins. As well as GM answering back.

Or we keep bench racing and prove nothing?? Lol.....which is fun too I guess. I keep posting in the threads, lol.

i undestand what camaro owners are saying. look at MM&FF. they quote wrong technical 'fact's' all the time and push products that work marginally or not at all for sponsorship dollars.

some things are true though and should be out of speculation.

1. mustang has better drag racing gearing
2. mustang weighs less
3. mustang has 14 less hp.
4. mustang has better power to weight ratio.
5. mustang has 20mm less tire.

who wins in any race when disregarding reaction time fellas? the car with better gearing, traction, and power to weight.

was the stang cooler and making more power... or was the SS at full temps and pulled timing for high IAT's?

.4 is a lot for two cars so closely matched.

let's wait for track times to start trickling in. if ford under rated the cars we will all know then.
