Wheel vs. Curb
I was going to park in Minneapolis yesterday. On this particular road, the curb is bowed out significantly, and as I'm pulling up to park I'm thinking "Don't curb check, don't curb check, don't curb..." CRUNCH
My gut dropped. I parked and checked out the damage and it's pretty good. Figured since the wheel couldn't be in worse shape, I'd try sanding and polishing the damage out, to no avail. This is the 2nd car of mine this curb has claimed. I'm going to bring a sledgehammer next time and let her rip. Just wanted to share my frustration! Going to call a wheel repair shop tomorrow and see if they can handle polished aluminum, and if they can fix it cheaper than what I could get a new rim through gmpartsdirect for. |

If you happened to buy the tire/wheel warranty, take it to the dealership and tell em you hit a bad pothole...as curbs are not covered...I did the same thing, dmged it a bit awhile back, they made it look brand new for no cost to me
