I'm still not sure why I was able to get my harness, even with the backorder. But I remember that the parts dude put some kind of "escalation" note on the ticket. I don't remember what terminology he used, but he said that it would make it seem as if the car was there waiting for the parts to be installed.

Or maybe it's just because I'm a BMF

Iwantone2... do you have a BMF wallet? If not, you should get one.

Update on the harness. I wasn't able to find the harness print but, with some searching I was able to piece one together with part #'s and pinout. I'm waiting on a price quote of all the connectors. The only thing that might suck is a lot of these companies require a minimum purchase and that's usually in the hundreds. Sometimes you can get some samples sent to you but, it depends. Like I said, I'm waiting on my parts person to get back with me on what she can put together.

There will be 2 options we can go with. There is nothing wrong with the existing harness being used so, those who are somewhat tech savvy can just get the one connector and terminals for the steering wheel switch and the two sockets for the Air Bag Coil connector and splice into the 12V and GND wires already present. OR, I could probably build a complete replacement harness. I have the other connector #'s and pinouts as well for the tap shift buttons and the left control switch for the cruise control. Once I hear back from my parts lady I can start throwing some prices out there.

I'd like to know the interest in which option people might want so, I can figure out how many I should order.

OK I had to order samples. Let's see if I actually get them. Will keep you updated. I asked for 10 of each plus sockets.

Got me a brand new 2SS Steering Wheel off Ebay, $279 PDIM is in, so off to the dealer I go. All the 2SS mods, still comes out cheaper than buying a 2SS and I have my cloth interior......

Darth the connector for the right switch is number 19167753. I havent been able to find the terminal numbers yet but am still looking. You could add this and the wires to your original harness if you could get the correct terminals.

If you look at the picture of the harness at the begining of this thread all you would be doing is adding the black (pigtail) to your existing harness. I am going to get my old harness and see if i cant get a pigtail added. If so ill post instructions. GM cant keep you on hold forever

Thanks tech... I actually found that same documentation as well as the rest for a complete harness. I got a call from the vendor today and they are sending out 10 samples of each connector and the appropriate amount of terminals so, I should be able to make 9 extras for people here. If anybody is interested let me know.

Adding this connector to the existing harness isn't as simple as just adding a few wires to the connector. There's a little bit of splicing that needs to be done for the 12V, GND, and Dimmer wires. It's not horrendous and can obviously be done by somebody confident in doing that type of thing. It's definitely not a plug n play thing though. Building a complete replacement harness would be plug n play.
