Ha! On that note, I was 18 when I got my 1992 Firebird Formula.

Challenger RT and RT Classic around 31K
Camaro 2 SS around 34K

I don't think it's price that will determine what " kids " will be driving in a comparison between the Camaro and the Challenger..I would think it would be more styling and performance that would determine that..
I see Challenger's more for the "older" guys that are into the retro stuff because the Challenger looks pretty damn good in the aspect. Most teenagers don't like them AS much sense many of them are into the more "modern" or "futuristic" things, i do though. Challenger's looks amazing in person.
I was going to get one but the asshat dealership wouldn't let us take it for a test drive even after we bought two cars from them before plus their srt8 there was close to 50k...over priced much?

So with that, and counting that i am a Camaro lover...i am 18 and a 2SS/RS owner. I love my car, but damn those Hemi-Orange srt8's are SEXY!

Oh man not another of these threads, we all know where all these lead to: Older people (no offense to you guys) coming on here telling younger kids that they are spoiled or that it must be cool to not pay a cent for their ride...then younger kids who pay for their ride (like me when i order in 2 mnths) will come in here and tell what they do and how they pay everything on there own....then the younger kids (16,17 year olds) who get their rides paid for will come on here and defend their position about how they deserve it and are not spoiled and how they do good in school and stay out of trouble...then those--well you guys get my point. End semi-rant. MY POINT IS WHY CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG NO MATTER THE AGE!!!!

back on topic: I'm 17 gonna order in 2 mnths so i can pick it up when i'm 18 the following month.

You forgot the part when people don't believe that you paid for it on your own and talk you down making you feel bad about even getting the car. "wasting you're life" "should have put the money in a savings account" "put that towards a house" "you made a immature decision" blah blah blah, isn't the world suppose to end in 2012 anyways? Just enjoy the car, and even if a 2010 Camaro was given to a kid, wouldn't you guys rather have him in a Camaro then another Mustang? Anyways, I'm working my ass off having two jobs to pay for the insane car insurance plus the loan, is it worth it? Hell yeah. Just make sure you are ready to make the payments so you can keep her.

I personally don't care how old they are if they own one. I just hope anyone that is lucky enough to have one bought for them respects and takes care of the car. Oh and don't act to foolish in them either.

Camaro has now become the new teen dream (thanks partly to Transformers). For better or worse, it's become a teenager's car.

Define "kid" I think I fall out of that category being 25. I kinda bought mine on a whim. Had 2 camaros before the 5th gen. One was a birthday present when I turned 13 (69 camaro project car). Fixed that and drove it through college. Then a 99 SS when I was in college (paid for with summer internship money), then the 2010 I picked up about 1.5years after graduation.

Advice to people getting them as gifts, just respect the car and what the person who gave it to you did to supply that car. Wish I would have been fortunate enough to have been given a new car when I was young but dont hate on people that are.

23, CGM 2SS bought it on my own. Have not driven it yet because I am still deployed, but it should be waiting on me when I go home for R&R May 15th.

Don't know if you classify me as a kid but I'm 24 with a 2LT RS. Paying everything for myself, as it was a graduation gift to myself for finally finishing college and getting a job. Saved up while paying off college and when that was done I put 10k down on it. Hopefully this will be paid off in a year.
