Don't get me wrong, I am in total agreement with you and I have always hated when people did that to my car as well - be it my old Saturn or my new Camaro. It's not their cars, they should keep their hands off. All I'm saying is, why put it in the window where it could conceivably slip down into the door, rather than under a wiper where it can only slip down to the bottom of the windshield (where it would hopefully blow away)?
Not to stir the pot (since I hate finding stripper cards on my car):
How does the majority feel about putting our Camaro5 welcome cards on cars then? Wouldn't that be the same thing?

The popularity of camaro's is growing in my area, and I've put about 1/2 dozen cards out there, but while I'm very careful about not leaning on the car or touching anything, I always feel like I'm doing something wrong?

I love C5, and the new people I'm meeting, and want to "spread the word", but unfortunately wouldn't some people feel it's no different than flyers or stripper cards??

I hear what you're screamin.... I am not the guy who's gonna be putting those cards on someone elses ride. I sorta figure it like this. If someone is into being into C5... they'll find it themselves online. I've seen a few Camaros around SF.... There aren't that many. And I've always been giving them the thumbs up or a wave or whatever.... and there seems to be some pricks who don't give a shit that I'm showing some love. So... F em. If they aren't into it and wanna just drive their pimpy ride... that's cool too. Not everyone is gonna care about the forum chatter.

i would tell the tanning salon that the dealer was going to remove the add and the bill would be sent to them.you could do it yourself, but if something was to break,it would be on you.it is such a trivial thing, but still,it is their fault.normally people put those things under the windshield wiper.

I think it's all litter and businesses shouldn't be allowed to litter your private property.

Well thanks to Camaro 5... I searched for the DYI remove door panel and ended up fishing out the tanning ad. For future reference... if anyone gets anything lodged inside their door... you don't completely have to remove the panel just enough to stick your hand through the side and fish around for it. I only removed 5 screws and popped off the panel. The dealership wanted $75 for labor. Glad this all worked out... now off to the gym again hopefully no more problems

I'm glad you got the paper out but I have to be honest and say that I was chuckling a bit imagining you putting the window down and hearing paper crunching, lol.

Anyways, glad you got it out without much issue .

Go to the dealer and fix it , then take the bill to the tanning place and very polite ask them to pay for it, if they refuse take those guys/girls to a place that is called small claims court that's all!!!!

I'd consider something like that vandalism of my property. If I caught the guy in the act, cops would need to be called.

For the people who thought to call the cops it's a waste of time. There's no offence there, period.

Yup & the proof is in your door.

But make a police report first.

Besides small cliams court there should be some other action from the police first don't you think?

Be careful! There might be more trouble that way.

Yep, this way they can pay, and the dealer will be responsible for your car at the same time.

Could have pushed probably but not a hassle you should have to deal with. Have your dealer do it and bring them the bill.
That too.

Why is it OK for anyone to place anything on a car????
I agree.

True but it's the idea that someone touched the camaro and now has to pay !! Nobody touches our camaros !
