Taking off the front bumper

Has anyone done this by themselves with or without ground effects. Was it as easy as I saw in the AAC video. I personally have the ground effects on and was wondering if you have to do anything different when taking out the screws. I'm taking it off to go and get it repainted and wanted to do the labor part my self because the dealer was going to charge me like $69/hour for 3.5 hours to take it off themselves. I would rather take it off. I need to know how anyway if i'm ever going to replace my headlights.

Its easy to take off the front fascia

Take out the fender liners on both sides. There are four 10MM bolts that need to be removed on both sides. Also you need to detach the wiring harness that is connected on the passenger side that is connected to the black bumper support. There are also a hex screw that holds the front bumper close to the fender right in front of the side markers. There are (2) 10mm bolts up top in the engine bay that need to be done and also the plastic tabs that need to be removed too. Then there are (2) 10mm bolts on the bottom side that are screwed into the frame. Thats it. I think once you get into starting it you will see how easy it is.

If you take your time it should not take you longer than 1 hour for the whole bumper since it is your first time. I am able to get the bumper off with 30min after taking off several fascia already.

I took off the bumper yesterday without taking out the liners (only the 3 screws on the front on each side) by myself. It took about 30 minutes to get the bumper off by myself. It's not hard at all.

So I have to take off the front ground effects completely? it's just held on underneath by tabs or bolts right. Not sure why I would have to take off the ground effects. I thought that the bolts that you need to take out from underneath went through the ground effects.

Well thats what I meant. There are Two or four (hmmm I think two) that Screw the ground effect chin onto the Chassis I beleive. Feel the tip of the Chin and run your fingers back you should Find them.

Maybe the V6's are different but i dont think they are.

Has anyone else see that too?
