QTP cutouts going to make my baby slow!!

Whats up with those cutouts i had my installer order them for me 2 weeks ago and im going to get them installed this week and i just read that im going to lose torque! Im a newbe and dont know much about cars so forgive me, but why do they have on their website the camaro gains 18hp and 17trq. They didnt say it gives the car a slower take off would a tune help bec i will be getting one with a intake and long tube headers

I doubt any exhaust mod from cats back would gain you much, if anything in the way of HP/Trq. (I dont know if it really does cause slower take-off but I also have heard that from more than one source) Headers might help, higher flow cats definitely would, but if you do all that you almost certainly will need a tune or your car will run too lean and probably have CEL.

there was an old myth that a decrease in backpressure meant a loss of torque.

this was disproven by Janetty Racing a while back in the header studies... For the 2010 Camaro SS, bigger headers = more HP and Torque. Removing the cats free up about 1 more HP.

...... but any mods to the rear of the cats will do you nothing in HP or Torque... just sound. The stock 2.5" system is a freeflowing beast.

so, if you want HP from an exhaust mod... get headers, big ones.

Cutouts will only show a gain on the top end of the track.
