Yes. its true. I hate stick and ball sports. If it doesn't turn fuel into power and noise, I am not interested. Darth_Emma, You once stated you loved the exhaust note and overall sound of a larger camshaft. If you go with a twin turbo the exhaust note will be totally silent. The turbos kill ALL exhaust sound and all you hear is the turbo spooling up with a high pitch whining sound. In my personal opinion twin turbo packages are for people who want to make an obscene amount of power and put there lives in danger while trying to tame the beast they built. Twin turbo kits are for 1000+ rear wheel cars. ![]() If that's what you want go for it. Just thought I would tell you what your in for. On another note I have something funny for you. I awoke this morning with the muscles in the front of my neck hurting quite bad. I could not think how I pulled them then I remembered that I made about 50 runs yesterday. They where pulled because when the car accelerates I have to hold my neck up against the G forces!

"Roots or High helix type Supercharger"= Two spinning interlocking blades that pre-compress the air in the housing increasing intake charge temp. They make excellent TQ and power but there efficiency curve falls off sharply at higher RPMs. Not my first chioce in superchargers thats for sure. Maggy's are high helix/Roots types superchargers. "Turbo" Single spinning impeller driven off of exhaust gas pressure and speed. It increases air speed and trades it for boost pressure. No other means of supercharging is as efficient. The power and RPM potential of a turbo far exceeds any other means of supercharging. In my opinion the draw backs are packaging. Since the exhaust gas is the energy source that makes the boost the air must pass over the hot impeller making the the need for a good inter-cooler a must! Under hood heat issues are also something you have to contend with. "centrifugal" Basicly a crankshaft driven turbo charger. This single spinning impeller Increases air velocity and trades air speed for air pressure "boost". Awesome street manners, very high power potential, scalable for future power increases and in my opinion, the best over all street power adder there is. You have no under hood heat issues like a turbo charger. If the belt that drives the supercharger breaks the engine will still run. A Roots type will not keep running if the belt fails. An inter-cooler is not necessary inmost cases but recommended anyway. Pro-Chargers, Vortech and Paxton are centrifugal superchargers.

Look into the centrifudal. Crazy power that comes on a little slower than a maggie so the around town driveablilty is amazing. A maggie is RIGHT NOW power and you have to know how to drive it or you'll be in a ditch in no time! I know you are an IPS girl and thats your perogative but stay tuned... Someone from Tennessee just dropped of an L99 to CincySpeed and said he wants 600 min at the wheels... they said its completely do able. It is getting cammed and a procharger. You may have to look into a new torque converter that can handle that kind of power! If you are only looking 500 at the wheels, a procharger would be enough, woundn't even need to cam... unless you want to. As for the manifolds, I am going to hang on to the for now... If you decide you are dead set on a turbo and order the parts... we can work something out. |

Um, uh, whoops!
I need to proof-read before I click submit.Quite a few years ago, she had to get a scan on her head, and I said without thinking afterwards that they didn't find anything. I was happy they didn't find any problems, but I should have chosen my words a little better.

Well... I understand if you are, I am VERY loyal to brands/shops. As long as they do me right, I stick with them. It seems IPS has been "doing you right" -minds out of the gutter - so thats all I was getting at. I am and will stay loyal to CincySpeed because I trust them. I wouldn't even consider shopping around. To me, building the relationship I have with those guys means more to me than saving a couple bucks (if I even could) at another shop. If I can't do it myself, they do... period... even though I hear there is this shop in milford...

![]() ![]() ![]() p.s. sorry for my above comment about the twin turbos that you wanted for your car . I didn't realize they came with different levels of horse power. Darin informed me of this after I posted.

Hey Darth_Emma, I dropped my car off at Cincy Speed on Saturday during dyno day and I dont know how quickly you are wanting to decide, but you might want to keep up with the build they are doing on my car as I had the TVS2300 and it made 750hp to the rear wheels without the nitrous and we are now going with the Procharger F1-R and doing some serious HP numbers. It might persuade you for a s/c. Basically it all comes down to how you want the power and do you want it to sound like a muscle car. My car will sound like a top fuel dragster when its done but thats what I want, a 1200hp monster and I want to hear it. The turbo setup is silent but just doesnt do it for ME but lots of people think turbo is the way to go. You cant go wrong with either and IPS is top notch. I am very excited to work with Craig at Cincy Speed as they are very into what they do and I have full confidence in these guys to pull off a one of a kind build. Just my .02

Our goal is a MINIMUM of 1200hp to the rear wheels at only 24psi and the F1-R is capable of 38psi, so it still has ALOT to give. I also will have my nitrous system on top of that so I can get as crazy as I want but this be a good starting point....LOL I also want to thank everyone that was there for all the help getting the car unloaded and into the shop. Camaro5 people are the best!

Ooops, I didn't see Jason's response up above. That's very reasonable and doable. I'll talk to Darin and see if he can get that stuff cheaper if he got it through his work. Thanks guys!!
