Urban myth!!!!
Love my RJT!!! I have heard that all my life. My rates did not go higher because of the color. It does cost extra though to buy RJT. I didn't care. Still turns heads every time I drive it. Beautiful when I wash & detail it & even looks good when it gets dirty (not that I let it stay that way long). But get what you love.

I personally do not like either color, but if I had to choose one it would be IOM.
RJT is essentially Burgundy. Do you like the color of an old lady's curtain or rug? |

well, I'm biased, but RJT
![]() (just add some flat black trim to it!) of course there is not a BAD color to get, on this car! I had/have a black car for the last 10 years, and just wanted something different and the RJT really caught my eye, ONCE SEEING IT IN PERSON and clean. of course I also fit that model of "older generation" too.... ![]()

Follow this paint chipping thread before you pick a color.

^ That is a concern of mine too. Of those that voted, RJT is second in paint chip problems.

I'm at 2600 miles since 4/1/10, so it's a daily driver, but daily = when the weather is nice.... I try to be careful, and actually have a rock chip in the windshield I don't remember HEARING hit.....but after cleaning it by hand this weekend, didn't find any paint chips anywhere...

That's good to hear. I don't know if any conclusion can logically be made that certain colors are more prone to paint chips than others....

Has anyone that says this ever actually seen a burgandy car?? Because I was almost tempted to take a picture of the "old lady burgandy" that was in front of me the other day just so people can see that RJT is not even close....Dark red does not = burgandy....go get out your color charts....
