epoxy removal from paint!
OK. So I finally got my night rider scanner to stick inside the mail slot by using the gorilla epoxy but ofcourse some of the epoxy dripped on the paint and dried up. How do I remove the epo:(xy without damaging the paint? So far I know acetone is a no no. Any suggestions? ? Anyone? Pleeease!!

Unless you had a good coat of wax on there - your likely hosed. Resin/Epoxy will bond with clear coat (because clear coat is essentially a resin). You might be able to chip it off with your nail if you had a coat of wax or sealant on there.

Depending on the one you used, it may actually help your situation. If you used the "ultimate quick detailer" it has "hydrophobic polymers" in it which can work in your favor trying to chip it off.

Try this...
http://www.autogeek.net/scraperite-p...or-blades.html ...use it with detail spray to lube the surface. Use carefully!

If solvents or a plastic scraper don't get it... possibly a very sharp razor blade, and then a buff out of any marks left behind.
