Had an accident... Need a wheel

So I spun out and hit a curb last Friday morning. Most of the parts aren't expensive, but the rear wheel (20x9 polished) is $722 from GM. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to get a replacement wheel for less. I've checked eBay and found some for around $250 shipped, which seems like a decent deal, but I thought I'd check here first. Sorry if this is the wrong forum....

Try a salvage yard. You'll still pay a premium, but not as much as at the dealership.

Dang, don't you wish now you bought the wheel & tire insurance ... Things like this pay for it using it just once ...

There should be plenty of used ones around from the guys upgrading their wheels. They will probably want to sell by the full set, so be prepared ...

Interesting that you didn't consider Ebay first, craigslist second, then a very very distant third, dealer. The chance of scrapyard having the part you need, when you need it, is about zero.

Heres a good ebay search:

who is to say that the insurance would even have covered this event?

I read through the wheel & tire insurance document when I was in the process of buying my Camaro and it specifically said it doesn't cover hitting curbs.

Thanks for the tips. Posted in the classifieds as well. Found one on eBay I think I might go for: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_2707wt_939

Slight cosmetic damage, but the price is reasonable. Look legit?

I went for it. Guy has a good rep. Settled for $215 shipped, which I guess isn't too bad. Now the waiting game for parts to come in. In the meantime maybe you guys can help me with the service estimate. I'm having my rear driver's side control arm and knuckle replaced and the tire put on the new wheel. The service quote is $360 from the dealership. Does this seem reasonable? I've always known dealerships to be a little pricey with their service costs. I don't really know how in-depth those repairs are. I'm considering making an offer to see if they'll come down a bit. Trying to take care of this out of my own pocket to avoid the insurance claim and subsequent premium increase...
