Mmats

Will any of these amps run on 3 ohms or if I have to 1.5 ohms. I have a w7 with an rms rating of 1500w. I want to come close to the rms but not exceed. Also if these amps can run on the existed ohm ratings how could I control the bass? It has no knob port and I dont want a deck.

Pick one that's 2 ohm stable, and wire your w7 to 1.5ohm. With box impedance rise, you'll be safe, as the actual impedance the amp sees will more then likely be closer to and over 2 ohms most of the time. Plus music is dynamic, so it's always changing. Really would only have to worry when running lots of test tones, lol.

As to not having a knob, set the amp up with the bass cranked on the deck. Then when you want less bass, turn it down. Will act like a bass knob. Be careful, as now your are pushing your factory speakers harder!

yea will the factory bass adjust still have enough adjustment not to rattle my mirror off? Like if I put the bass on the deck on zero and have my gain cranked to a safe max on the amp, will the sub not produce bass? I want the sub to be silent if possible no matter how loud I crank my stock BA system.

If you set the amp with the bass cranked on the eq, as you turn down the bass on the eq, it will attenuate the bass the sub/amp produces. Also, I believe the eq goes negative, which will further attenuate the bass.

So I would still have to manually turn knobs on the amp to make it go down?

Nope. Just your eq.

For total silence, you would have to gain down the amp.
