I was on the fence about getting a camaro (still haven't got it, but will) until I came to this site and asked for input. Someone posted something so simple but brilliant that pretty much made my mind up for me. He said "If you're not happy driving, drive what makes you happy"

Heres what we did years ago, my husband was the same as you, always wanted a vette (once we got in to the cars) with two young ones it was hard to get one, We bought one that didnt run on the aspact of getting it running. then we sold that one (come to find out it did run lol)
a couple years later he got another one & drove it around for a while until our daughter started school. Then he gave up on it. until a few years later, we went out & bought him a 00 FRC. Man he was happy. but problems with the car made him rethink what he wanted. He traded that one in over a year ago for a 02 vert. loves it & drives it. But I also have mine, now. but along with those we have always had one or more camaros on the place. if nothing else keep the camaro as a "Family car" & get a used vette a c5 or older c6. use that as your daily driver or weekend car. Heck our family cars around here are a 98 buick regal GS (supercharged) & my truck. we also have the 3 camaros & the two vettes, but also we have my sons truck & my 72 buick skylark vert. |

pay the camaro off and keep it then go get you a vette. by then who know what the vette will have in it or what the body style will look like in a few years.ive had a sleeper 2005 vette (black) that was pushing well over 600 hp but ive always ben a camaro lover. ive always felt the camaro stood for the blue colar working man that loved the muscle stanze. the corvette to me all ways stood for well off individuals wich is fine.you just need to figure out if you like the look of money or the look of muscle.you cant go wrong either way

I feel your pain. My entire life before I was married I owned "muscle" cars. Once I got married, I began driving "family" cars. Wanting a muscle car but driving family cars was painful and even disheartening. I finally decided I was getting and driving what I always wanted and have been extremely happy since. My suggestion to you is do what will make you happy.

Hello,
I had a Z06, sold it to make room for my Camaro; which is what I really wanted. I say you get what you really want as you are the one who worked for and saved your money. Just be sure you really want the Vette (hieght to ground, lack of back seat, small trunk) rent one for a week and see if you still really want it then do it! Your Camaro is beautiful. Thanks, Robert
