My car had a full tank of gas when i dropped it off and when i picked it up it was down to half a tank...where did my gas go? so after i picked it up i received a call the next day asking to take a 5 min survey about my experience and i told the lady what happen and she got in touch with the manager and he got in touch with me and told me to bring my car in. so i did. they ended up giving me two new rims and tires off of a lot car (im guessing)
I guess I got it good at my local dealer. My rims are custom 22's that you just can't buy. The performance shop manager won't let anyone touch my car except for a select few. Even when they swapped out my rims from the stock, he would only allow 1 guy in the shop to do it. No one else was allowed.

Be careful when you turn away from your car anywhere, including the dealership.
Yea I took my car to the local Chevy dealer to get it detailed (because after I bought it, their detail guys were gone so they told me to come back some other time) and after they were done I did a walk around and noticed a dent in my passenger door. Told them about it and they said they would get it fixed for me when I bring my car back.

Sucks about the damage to the wheels. Unfortunately the guys doing the work don't make all that much and it is likely only their first or second job in life. Not trying to defend them at all...the guy should have stopped and brought it to their attention after he screwed up the first wheel.

As for the tire pressure, the max cold psi stamped on the P-Zero tires is 50psi. Technically he didn't over inflate the tires but he completely ignored the OE recommend psi on the door sticker. I do to and I keep mine at 40 psi because it helps my mpg's and feel like it handles better than at 36psi.

Make sure the shop fixing them gives some sort of warranty on the paint/clear coat in case you have issues down the road with it.

My wife took her car to to a local Big O tire for brakes and the guy calls her to say looks like you have a broken stud on one of the front rotors and wanted $300.00 to fix it. She tells the guy well you are the only shop to work on the car so you must have broke it. He says no basically calls her a liar and says it looks like it happened a while ago and won't release the car unless she pays up cause he can't let it go with it broken. When I get there and look at it was obviously a fresh break and the guy tries to argue with me. I tell him fine keep it until my lawyer can come and take some photos and start legal action. Brand new rotor in an hour.

We left the car there (which I usually dont do) and when we picked her up the first thing I did was a walk around..Didn't take long to find the 1st ding..walked to the next tire, some thing, walked to the passanger side and there was a scratch all the way around my front rim!!!! The back rim has a hole in it! A freaking hole!!!

We walked into the store and the guy says "all good??"

UUMMMM NO! My husband tells them they screwed up my rims so the manager comes out and looks at it..Goes inside and called a local rim shop and asked me to take it over there when I get a chance.. I told the guy I'd be there when they open in the morning. The old freaking fart behind the counter asked the manager "is it bad?" To which the manager replied " does it matter? They're scratched.. how bad it is is irrelevent"

So I go to the rim shop at 8am yesterday..talked to the owner, he seemed like a nice enough guy..He calls the tire shop and tells them the price to recoat all 4 rims.. The guy at the tire store tries to say that they only damaged 2 of my rims!! At which point the rim guy says "Ron.. I've seen the rims.. all 4 are damaged and need to be fixed"

So long story short.. I'm getting all 4 of my rims recovered (? is that what it's called?) On Monday.. Unfortunately I'm going to be without my car for 2 days :( But my rims will look like brand new!!!!
Are you going to feel really safe riding on these rims?
just a thought.

They should also cover a rental for the amount of time it takes to repair the damage.

Where did you go? Did you hear how much it will cost to fix the rims? If you have the polished rims make sure the strip the entire rim and not just where teh damage is. If they don't you will see different color where they recoated them.
