22 manual 23 auto ? Weird to see it "backwards" but this is the first time they both have 6 speeds. Was kind of hoping for more like 17/25 like the manual V6 is coming in at but it surely isn't a deal breaker.

I thought that section of the book was just a reccomendation to dealers to get those cars on the lots...

It doesn't pay to speculate. And I think there's plenty of that here. We'll have an answer, and it will be credible. Just be patient - it may not be in the next 20 posts, but it will come.

I have a feeling people who ordered the recommended color combinations will get theirs first.
I got CGM with Grey interior so hoping I get mine first

Yeah kind of shocking, but this is form the IDL this morning. I firmly believe the man will still get better gas milage if you drive it right.

From day one GM has state there is no guarantee's that even the sold orders sold under the "estimated guide numbers" would be produced. Nor when they arrive.

What I DO KNOW is some dealers have given a date or "estimate" on when someone's car would be arriving. There is simply no way to know, until the order is ready to be produced. Telling a customer a car will be done by April was a guess at best.

I have a little more faith in the V8 and SS situation than what was posted by Greg. But he's a Corvette guy, that plant works a little differently :-) I like my sources, and I have faith in what was discussed. I guess my take was a little different than Greg's.

I was just speaking generally as we have received feedback from customers all over the country. I know Scotty would not commit a car he couldn't get just as we would'nt.

I don't know if I can handle this mentally much longer. I just got out of the army after a very long tuff 4 years and just wanted the comfort of my ordered SS at least by June. Now I continueously read that I may not even get my car until next year!? Or by what Captain Awesome was saying maybe not ever!? What!? How can you even begin to say an ordered item doesn't necessarily mean it will ever be made!? What the hell is the point in ordering anything in the first place then. Are you saying that any time i order something I should wonder if im gonna get it or not? That's ludacris. Maybe ur just saying that's the way ordering "Cars" is, not everything else. If so, wow. How horrible.

Yes, it's already been assumed here that those recommendations were going to be the first built. Why else make them? That helps very few get their cars earlier and seems pointless to me. Nonetheless it was a hint to those desperate to get first delivery.
