AFM tune

What would be a good place to have the afm tune out. And what is a good price.

If you are going to tune the AFM out I would suggest getting a performance engine / transmission tune also. The price difference will not be very much.

Send a message via MSN to Scott@Bjorn3D
You can buy a SCT tuner from Ted at Jannetty Racing and he will give you a tune for your car.

You can turn off AFM with a hand held tuner. But, I agree with Kirk above that a trans tune makes a BIG difference on an A6. Get 'em all at the same time.

Just Thinking

If a Dealer can reflash your ECU, can they turn off the AFM if an owner requests it?

It's not adding performance in anyway, just turning off the droan

No they can't. There is a local dealer that brings me by to turn it off on the cars that they sell out of the door with long tubes/catback/CAI.

If I get it turned off .... will it get turned back on if the Dealer re-flashes it then?

Well if this is true then the only wise thing to do is purchase a tuner.

Car going into shop .... upload stock tune.

Car comes out of shop .... upload modified tune.

I still cannot understand if they can put it back to stock ... Why can't they modify it for the customer or is it they could but they won't per GM instructions?

Their tools do not allow modification of the calibration, just the ability to flash a GM calibration.
