Drunk driving laws are already more strict than they should be. I dont advocate driving drunk but blowing .08 doesn't mean your drunk or even buzzed. I'm sure I've been well over .08 and could walk, talk, think and react better behind the wheel then half of the idiots on the road. You see a story in the paper about a "drunk driver" kills a pedestrian at 2 am. What they leave out from time to time is that the driver was only .08 and the ped was walking in the street wearing a dark sweatshirt. Alcohol probably had nothing to do with it.

Hell I almost hit some dumb ass yesterday at work. I was driving into the sunset and some dumb ass was sitting on the curb and I couldn't see him till I was right on top of him. Had a car been riding the line going the other way I would have been in an accident or hit the idiot on the curb.

Penalize the people who are actually impaired not the ones who are sober but had a few drinks.

I do agree they are strict. Been told by the cops anything more then one beer in a hour can put you over the limit. And some girls can be over the limit in one beer.
I know for me it takes couple more drinks then that before I am close to a buzz.
I can walk straight. Full balance, say alphabet backwards. Have been tested haha.. But because of DUI limit is so low I wont drive even after one drink for a hour.
I think it was fine when it was .12 and if they aint driving straight give sobrity test. You can still get DUI when under the legal limit.

What I have notice though when I have been stopped. When I say I have had no drinks cops give me breatherlizer the one time I said I had a couple of drinks a couple hours ago the cop gave me the test. Walking and touching nose and what not. So hopefully they do that because I dont think .09 is impaired for most guys.

So nobody has ever been to a drunk driving rally race in the bush? Keep it away from the public roads.

Really shows how fake all these insurance claims and court cases are for injures and such.
