im just messing with ya....it is an automatic assumption that i am a troll...its human nature. it took a while for guys to finally see i wasnt a troll lol. btw i dont have a challenger i canceled my order to see what dodge does in 2010 and if they dont do much i will probably snag a SS. unless some amazing deal is given to me on a challenger.

Distinct possibility. 6 Months ago the dealer at Mark Dodge here in Mobile AL wanted 52k for the SRT Hemi. I went in last month (the Lexus dealer is next door and my car was getting serviced) He was at sticker and willing to deal.
They had the sticker price covered on all SRTs. But I know it was around 40k

Ahhh, the DR1! The DR1 in 89' I was a prototype for the ZR1 corvette that would debut in 1990. There was probably very few of these cars ever made, and when I say few I mean like two or three. Especially a convertible one!! The DR1 was a project between Chevrolets corvette team and Lotus which started around 1986. The engine in the DR1 was specifically designed for it creating i believe 375+ horsepower for the first few years of production from 1990-1992, and 405+horsepower from 1993-1995. Supposedly a selling point of the car is that all ZR1's would go over 200 mph straight from the dealers lots. Long story short there were 6,936 ZR1's made between 1990 and 1995. Any one of those cars if well taken care of can go for 60-100 thousand dollars. Let alone a outrageously rare DR1 corvette convertible. It's just a huuuuuuuuuuge part of corvette's history that not many people know about. For it's time the DR1 was state of the art, supposedly best corvette ever made. It doesn't surprise me at all that it went for damn near 300 grand.

i think one of the few vettes that would ever go for more would be the only 1983 Corvette in existence. (not that i think it'll ever get sold) when the plant was retooling for the C4s, they didn't get it done in time to have a full 1983 production run, so they started in march 83 as an 84 model (like the 2010 camaro). all 44 "83 models" were crushed except #23, which has been on display in the vette museum.

No. The interior of the car they auctioned off doesn't exist yet. They auctioned off Camaro number 100001. It will be the first car off the line on 3/16. So, therefore, it doesn't exist. Now, the silver Camaro with black stripes that was at BJAA had the IOM interior.

thanks for the response, I am somewhat curious now to see what that really looks like - The picture I had in my mind definitely doesn't look like what's in that silver/CGM striped camaro. Does anyone have good pictures of that interior? IOM interior that is?

Check some pictures out here - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11893

But note that the door panels in this car should be orange also, but I think they are gray.

Yep, I am really interested to see what the worlds consumers would be willing to put down on a car like that. You can't get more rare than that!
