Wiping off brake dust every day. What to use?

You can keep your wheels clean by wiping the brake dust off every day, or at the end of every ride if you want.

But what do you use to wipe them that won't scratch the finish?

I use a microfiber towel and rinse it after every use to keep from drying with dirt/brake grime on it. I usually spray some blackmagic wheel cleaner and grime comes right off with a rinse and whipe of the MF towel.

I wash it off with soap and water. If it's built up I use Sonax wheel cleaner and Daytona brush. May not be as quick as a wipe, but I won't scratch or embed brake dust into the finish.

Ok, thanks for the replies. So there is no easy recommendation of a product that can be carried in the car, that will not need water?

You can use some of Adam's Waterless Wash. Spay it on the rims, use a boar's hair brush and then wipe it off with a MF towel.

Ceramic pads? It'll stop the problem at least.

As much as I'd love to see you guys Green Wheel Cleaner by the gallon the best solution is ceramic pads. I wen thru this same problem on my TBSS... got sick of the cleanup and when I swapped out for a set of cross drilled rotors I changed the pads out for PosiQuiet ceramics... no more dust!

In the meantime buy lots of our green wheel cleaner and a wheel brush

Adam's has the black edgeless microfiber towel back in stock. Combine these with Waterless Wash and this is the combination for the job.

I heard that Adam recommends using 16oz of Green Cleaner per wheel...
