The SST reminds me of a harpy eagle...

Quote:
Harpy Eagles are 89–105 cm (2.92–3.44 ft) long[3] and have a wingspan of 176 to 201 cm (5 ft 9 in to 6 ft 7 in).
Quote:
On occasion, larger prey such as young deer and capybaras are taken and they are usually taken to a stump or low branch and partially eaten, since they are too heavy to be carried whole to the nest. The Harpy may take domestic livestock but this is extremely rare.

Freaking bad ass EAGLE.

Bruce, you have to calculate and post your carbon footprint so I know just how much you're helping plant life thrive when you drive around. Everyone in the timber industry should drive one of these, they would haver bigger trees than they know what to do with....

There are actually downtubes that we are using in the SST that will go from the turbo inlets to the area behind the foglights. Need those filters for street driving and they can be popped off at the track in about a minute if so desired.

That's what makes this build unique, is all the. uhh. unique. ideas. (that came out retarded)
Yes, twin butterflies built in between the snout pieces. The linkage is completely hidden but had to be made out of billet and serious stainless hardware to combat being bent under high boost conditions.

That is the highest res since it came off a cell phone. There will be better ones since this is the ugly "dyno configuration". Look at this pic and replace every black flex line (and the ugliest dipstick every put on an engine) with a hard polished stainless one. It looks pretty crazy in the SST.

J - You'd like the engine harness. To take the engine in and out is one 28 pin Deutsche connector and the starter cables. Pretty neat.

You should hear it in person. The pipes coming off the exhaust side of the turbos are about 28" long and when we fired it my cousin came unglued. It is pretty intimidating at close range in a small dyno room when you are not expecting it...

I gotta wait until it is back in the SST. It looks way prettier then...

The coating on the exhaust side of the turbos is a special extreme 2,000 degree ceramic/sterling coating. On the inlet side of the turbos it is a hi-temp powdercoating. I am sure the exhaust side will still turn brownish with age, but that is the nature of the turbos...

Thanks for the kind words. ...and this coming from someone with one of the MOST detailed Camaros on all of C5 !!

Well, no pics yet, but I did get a call from NRE. They are starting the dyno tuning. 40 pulls over 1,000 HP so far.
