Well, some of you got tricked by my sisters and mines little joke. Glad our plan worked, anyway, that Also means we got a new member in our little Camaro family. Tomorrow we'll get pictures up.

Whats up fellow El Pasoans, I've been on C5 for a little while now, currently stationed in hawaii (though Im in Iraq) and i plan on getting back to EP by the beginning of the year. My first order of business will be to get my ZL1, until then my 97 Firebird Formula will have to do. Is there a Camaro car club? I want to get involved and enjoy the C5 family.. thanks.

Yeah there's a Camaro Club here in El Paso, its a chapter made up of El Paso Las Cruces and all of the little communities in the surrounding areas like myself. We do quite a bit of functions especially within the coming weeks now that the winds are dying down and weather warms up. Good luck with ZL1, that car is amazing to see in person. When you get back down to the Southwest we should have some great stuff to do.

Very cool! I'm also looking at buying a ZL1... Pending if I decide to re-enlist or not.. We have a real good group of people in this area along with in Albuquerque. Looking forward to having you join in on all the fun!

awesome. so whats the word on the street there? how are the camaro sells in town? what type of markups are dealers going with?? when i bought my 07 Tahoe they were trying like hell to mark it up

and idea on the ZL1 pricing?? i plan on dropping around 20K down...

Not one but two marros thats awesome, i see the vert was purchased through Bravo.. whose giving the best deals? my tahoe was bought at Midway and my old '04 Monte Carlo was bought at Rudolph..?

It depends on who you go with and whom you are dealing with. With me when I was ordering my 2010 2SS/RS all I was doing the past year before I placed my order was research, research, research. Know what comes with the ZL1, like what options come with it, how much are the options what's the MSRP for the car, what's the invoice for Tue car, stuff like that. And dont be afraid to look at dealers out of the city, heck even out of the state. I went to dealers that were asking for 2k over MSRP and I'm sorry but for me that's just not cutting it. Go to it as I want this car and you need my business so let's get this done. Frankly the dealer needs you more than you need them, that's the key on getting your car at the price you want. I would suggest contacting Rudolph Chevrolet here in EP. They treated me fantastic since I went in to make an order and I would suggest going with Adrian Aragon as the lot dealer, great honest guy. That and Rudolph is the one dealer that gets the special allotments for these special edition cars first in the area.

On the the question about pricing, assumptions are around 50K for the car, but there is no set price for the ZL1 yet. I know that the BOSS 302 list is 40-42k MSRP and the Shelby go for about 50K so just take those prices into consideration on competing prices. I know that when the 2010 Camaros were first being released that mark uos went as high as 10K, ouch, but if you call ahead of time and set an order and everything else you just never know. You could get a hold of Berger Chevrolet or other well respected dealers on this forum.

. Really good guy, for the trade in though we went to Bravo and did business with Jaime Luna. Also a great guy

. So really depends on where you want to go, Rudolph or Bravo(LC). Both have two great people working for them
