I keep seeing people mentioning these, but it would be considerably less to paint the actual calipers yourself.

Powdercoating is the best option IMO.....but it will be around $330 not including removing/reinstalling them.
If that doesn't fit into your budget I would paint them before putting on covers. To me you can tell they are covers when you get up close and that just screams cheezzy to me. Just my opinion though.

I always use engine enamel paint...it holds up to the weather really good.
I painted the ones on my truck some yrs ago they still look as good as the day I painted them.

Covers look like shit and hold heat in. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

Go on ebay and search brembo caliper covers. They have covers in different colors that look very high quality. The look real but if u have brembos just paint them or powder coat them! I too used G2paint and love the way they came out. If u have a V6 the yes go ahead and buy those covers. The have 6,4, and 2 piston cover. Mix and match. Make sure they are high heat, most are but not all. The are held in using a hi temp silicone. Look very nice! Hope that helps.

Well if that's not rice, I don't know what is. See if they can throw in some SS badges too. If you have a V6 and want your brakes to look better, buy new brakes. That's what I did.
