And to add to jman's post... here (includes more details). And yea, that source is legit as he was one of the people who met with Scott and Cheryl to drive their cars for their "review".

I will not question the ultimate source!

However, Cyber Gray was only recently offered on Impala. The only two grays were Slate Metallic and Dark Silver Metallic. It's just strange that there was an explanation for a constraint. The answer is usually "it's on constraint just because!"

You think we accept that kind of thing around here? Maybe you dealers do but we're much more of a pain in the ass than that I still want to know why ABL was ditched from the dash hah.

I'm not starting anything but common sense will tell you that additional lighting on a dashboard could be a distraction to the driver and the possibility of a lawsuit has changed GM's mind about ABL.

Just thinking out loud.

I guess RPO needs to tell us what the absolute MINIMUM is that the dealer is required to do and go from there.
Driving mine home as well. I also had a conversation with my salesman last week on this very thing and he asked me what I wanted them to do. I told him to leave it on the truck until I got there.

He even offered to have a pro-detail company come in to give it it's first bath instead of letting the guys in the back do it. I thought that was very nice to offer that service. If I decide to go that route, I will still be there to make sure it doesn't get air-dried down the highway. LOL

The dealer gets paid to clean, check fluids, operation of features, tire pressure, add dealer installed options, road test, fuel allowance, etc.

BTW, the dealer does not have the choice to "leave it on the truck". The driver will unload all of the units and he's not waiting for anyone.
