I just ran the obd2 scan and the codes were po300, po171 and po174. The 2 17x ones are system lean and the 300 is misfire. All of them make sense if it has a 93 only tune and is running 87 because it would run lean on 87 and probably misfire every once in awhile. Plus, I haven't gotten on it at all since the codes went off this morning and they haven't popped back up.

Believe it or not, there are a lot of car owners who are totally afraid of touching anything under the hood, especially fuse pulling. They are worried it may screw-up the computer or cause a driving problem. I know, . . . I have talked to a guy and a woman (separate L99 owners) about this and they will not even consider it. They don't want to change anything under the hood. They're afraid it may cause warranty/service problems, Plus they do not understand (nor can they grasp after trying to explain it to them) the simple low/high tune modes. GeorgeM |

Got another lean code when I was going up a hill at half throttle.
I ran it down to an 1/8th tank and put 93 in. Cleared the lean code and pulled the 5 and 20 fuses. We'll see tomorrow how it does (cross your fingers). I'll get some more pics when it stops raining here. |

Got a question for those folks who buy cars with dealer mods and additional dealer markup stickers.
Since the OP's car was delivered with a nice set of expensive factory wheels and tires, what happened to them? You paid for them too, didn't you? I would demand those be included if I purchased this car. The stock CAI, springs, sway bars and exhaust also came with the car from the factory. You paid for those too, what happened to them? What if you wish to return the car to stock or sell them on Craigslist. They belong to you. Does this mean you were doubled charged for duplicate car parts? Did you get credit for the parts that were removed? What is the price of one SS wheel and tire? $800? Last edited by upflying; 05-15-2011 at 10:30 PM. |

I asked for the stock wheels but they didn't have them and weren't willing to get a set for me - I asked 3 times.
I kind of looked at it like this: Even when you get an option for more expensive wheels (say you got polished instead of silver), they charge you for the full price for the wheels and don't include the old ones (they also don't deduct the original wheels from the price). |
