We carry both and haven't had any customer report problems on either the JBA or Solo.

JBA's and no code for the first few months...no i have to clear it every day. not hard to do with my cell app, but still....

btw, will any of the o2 extenders on ebay work? and do they go in before the cats or after? any other effects from using these ( leaner etc)

I've got the SOLO High flows and have never thrown a code from these. They make one hell of a difference too.

Ebay extenders - I would make sure you get stainless steel ones and not the aluminum.

The check engine light will only flash if a problem exsists that could damage the convertors (such as a missfire)...anything non convertor damaging will not give any visual indication that another code has set since the light is already on.

I have the XS power complete system with weld in 3" Magnaflow Cats...waiting to get it tuned until my cam is installed....but 1000 miles so far with no light!

I see things have gotton away from the initial post and I may have not helped either.

If you have the exhaust shop install the highflow cats that were for your Vette, in my opinion, stainless steel extenders for the rear O2's will help eliminate the potential for cat inefficiency codes. It's unlikely you will get lean codes as long as there are no leaks. But when you install highflow cats the rear O2 sensors will read, and the ECM interpret, that the cats have failed and set a code for each bank.

To me it would be worth the extra few bucks now, not to have to go back later and do it anyway.

Like most have said, getting the rear o2 extensions are the key to no codes. I had codes from my Jba until I got those extensions. Solo comes with them, and Jba you have get them separately. I've seen both Jba and solo in person and imo there is not much difference in quality. Solo do have a better finish but for a part that no one ever sees is not worth the extra $$$ imo.
