There are two coupes, #52 & #53 and are both automatic regular production Camaros with inferno orange interior with orange door panels (not white). These two cars where pulled from dealership stock within Indy and have had door, fender and windsheild decals installed. From what I understand these two cars were requested by Indiana State Police (they are assigned festival cars every year) as they did not want convertibles.

Closest would be in '78, they had a fleet of Camaro "Official Cars". The "Official Pace Car" was the black over silver (takes a deep breath) Limited Edition Silver Anniversary Pace Car Corvette (you can see one in the background). We've had people look, but no ones been able to find one of the Camaros.

the catalog from the track has the fender decals but they are half the size as the ones on the track cars. I've been trying to find the fender decals. Found the windshield decal. I bought some of the fender decals and thought about taking them to local sign co. to have them scanned and enlarged. As far as door decals I hope they don't let just everyone by them. You should have to provide a vin to prove you have a car so that everyone don't run out and buy them to clone cars.

That is a good GM part number,list is $178.43 each,however it is currently not an active part,and no inventory is available.

Unfortunately anyone will be able to buy them once they are released and available from GM,no VIN will be required (unless one is needed for a spac case for a backorder situation) even if one was required it wouldn't stop anyone from getting a VIN from a car on ebay and using it.

Thanks for the info... Since the two cars can be documented as official Indy Festival cars I wonder if down the road it will add to the value since there was only two.

BTW I noticed while out at the track this weekend, and some of you may have noticed as well, sometime during the week they did add the 2011 500 logo and the windshield banners to the three track pace cars.
