The twist I would put on it would be that the Leaf owners got a call and had to depart from their planned route (and hence planned range) to pickup their son/daughter from college on the wayyyy to Grandparents house for dinner. Or even better, "sorry honey, we can't swing by to pick you up. We won't have enough range to get there if we go 30 miles out our our way to pick you up".
Great idea or maybe just a detour for construction?

I feel GM should get mean for this...hell, they already tried dissing us with their stupid commercial, why shouldn't we jab them back? Show how half-assed and impractical the Leaf really is, expose it for being a glorified golf cart.

There is the possibility that with far more EVs coming (Focus end of this year) that GM will keep their mouths shut and let range anxiety speak for itself.

I haven't read a review yet of the Leaf that didn't involve a "oh my, am I going to get there" moment. None stranded yet, but plenty of range anxiety. So we can let the real world do all our advertising for us............................but being a little mean could still be fun

Should have some pictures after this weekend.

Overall, I am pleasantly surprised with this car.

I think the mileage will equal or better the Fiesta, but that's my guess. Just like driving Numer 3, I don't want to quote mileage because then I have to defend my driving habits and even on the "milage runs" I've made so far, no matter what number I reported it wouldn't be good enough for some. I could say 50 and someone would claim FAIL so I don't want to go there.

A long road trip planned for this weekend, so I should be able to see the comfort level of the car. But so far on my daily commute, it is quiet and comfortable. Ride on the 15" wheels is pretty nice. I'd like to try the 17" wheels for handling. Those that have driven those are reporting a pretty entertaining car. But even with the 15s, hooning is possbile. It will chirp the tires going to 2nd.............ooooops, did I just type that? I do have to properly evaluate the car though. Must have just been the radio..............what's the name of that new song? Play it all the time now................"Squeal the tires of that Sonic, baby!" or something like that.

One big advantage I think this car has in the segment is rear seat head room. As I've reported, I sit very tall with most of my height in my torso and I have headroom in the back seat.

Trunk is pretty roomy as well.

So it's not as "swoopy" as a Fiesta, but I think it will exceed the Fiesta in roominess, practicality and it should certainly be more entertaining to drive with the HP advantage in both the 1.8 and 1.4T powerplants.

Not sure when GM will post the EPA numbers, but probably pretty soon now that they've released pricing.

He probably made the mistake of going into the general discussion area and never made it back out alive...

I went in once but had to take a week off just to recuperate
