I am fairly new to FI so idk much about it
get a smaller size turbo. It will spool quicker so its more off the line, and it wont hurt you MPG at all. This is a very basic explanation but its the direction you want to go in.

Maybe, but nothing turns faster off the line than a supercharger. Plus the smaller turbo (depending on how small we are talking exactly) doesn't have as much potential in it. Any turbo, no matter how small, still has a little lag time. It isn't a flaw, just inherent in the design. A supercharger hits you the instant you want it.
