I'm sort of a surrogate SW Ohio member! LOL I've had all my work done at Cincy Speed. They can get you setup any way you like and Tracie can tune the $hit out of a Camaro!!! WOOT WOOT!!!

You are closer to Medina. I go to Back Street Performance. They are in Medina, by the Fairgrounds. Check out my signature.
there are several people that have done superchargers, lots of exhaust mods, some cosmetic, and braking.....

I'm in the Columbus area and I have my work and tuning done at IPS Motorsports. They are north of Columbus near Delaware.
Thanks Darth, TLSTwin, and 2L82Run for your pointers on shops, I am closest to Medina so I will have to check out Back Street Performance. I did business a few years ago with IPS with one of my old cars(pic below with IPS hood), I forgot they were in Columbus.
Darth I noticed you have a supercharger setup, where did you get it from? How do you like it? I'm sure a lot!

I'm off to Good Guys at 7 AM tomorrow... If anyone is there shoot me a text at 617-bumbleb

@rex, CincySpeed has literally 7 camaros sitting there. They were able to show me each of them, as each one has a different supercharger setup. He was also able to show me the suspension setups. I think I was sold on the Hellion TTs instead- for the price I think they can't be beat, but I'm still a TT lover compliments of the old VR4 (which you seem to be able to appreciate...) I used to run a 3000GT VR4 Spyder. I love those cars!!! Used to compete in NCCA in Ohio if you ever brought that one around...

I have a complex though because I love the Camaro with a passion but I hate my camaro. Going through 4 quarts of oil an oil change (and the dealer telling me thats within spec), Going through multiple transmissions (and losing another one), my heated seats and blower don't work (the dealers actually fixing these ones)... and don't get me started on the problems I've already had fixed... (exhaust issues, power seats not working, BA SS issues, etc.) Anyway, for the last 2 years I've been putting money in my "mod savings", and that account is now well over the price difference of a ZL1 vs SS, since I've been scared to modify it due to warranty stuff. Well take $$ and add it to an SS in trade in and you get a ZL-1 with a few bucks to spare... so now I'm leaning towards that... or a corvette...

yeah yeah yeah, I know everyone is sick of hearing my life camaro story, but Blame GM. If my camaro didn't suck, I'd be running a nice little TT SS Bumblebee and then we could all just be friends without any b!tch sessions.

Cheers!

I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

I got it from IPS. They've done most of the work on my car.

@Bumblebee, I did love my VR4, had to sell it to pay bills at the time. I couldn't afford all the things I wanted to do. I am a big fan of TT's, but it doesn't seem that is the way most people go when they do a big power upgrade. I know that's what Jay Leno went with, he did that to a V6. I mean I know he has all the people and money to do whatever he wants too. I haven't researched to see if many shops were doing TT upgrades and tuning. How much is the Hellion TT setup?
That sounds crazy about all the issues your car is running into. When I was looking for the Camaro I have I saw a 08 Z06 for 37k, the next car I am going to get is a vette. I wouldn't be very happy with all those issues your having and would probably do what you were talking about either upgrading to a ZL1 or going to a vette.

@ Rex-

I'm still under the impression that the TT is a better way to go than the superchargers. The TT holds up longer, is more reliable, and responds to future mods better. The negative on the TTs is that it is supposedly more expensive. When I first looked at TTs about a year ago, the TT setups were about 11k, and the Superchargers were about 8. Now they are both about 7-8k. When I got quotes installed, the TTs were only like $300 more installed than the superchargers, and so I personally decided that the TTs are now a better way to go than the superchargers. I'd love to hear someone explain to me why a supercharger may be a better bet?

The turbocharger doesnt thrive off of your belt system, it uses "wasted" energy from the exhaust stream. This means you may make a sacrifice at 1-2k RPM as you have added backpressure, but any time I race my car, I launch at 3-4k RPM, which in turn is a high enough RPM to offset the negative of the turbocharger, and therefore never in a race situation am I actually in the 1-2k rpm problem area of the turbocharger, and at higher RPMS (where I normally run), your supercharger creates the trade offs.

Turbos also offer better fuel economy? but ultimately its a toss up I guess! Whatever makes you happy!

Would like to go to the cruise-in tonight, but can't get a shoe on over the stitches on my foot, so I'm staying put.
