2SS Auto here and have almost 40k. Been back and forth to Atlanta several times and its great. I'm 6' 1", 265 lbs, seats are good for long trips, plenty of leg room, and cruise is easy to manipulate on highway

2ss manual here. I have drove from TX to UT back to TX. From TX to NJ. NJ to SC. Few over 16hrs to a few day trips of nothing but driveing. Its amazing how comfortable it is. I have a bad lowerback and my @$$ goes numb and my back hurts if i sit to long, but I have not had any pain sitting for a long time in my camaro!

I've had two pretty long trips. One from PA back to FL when I picked it up from Tom Henry.
And I drove from FL to AZ and back for C5FII... we put in 19 hours of driving in one day. From Mobile Al to Las Cruces NM... and my car is lowered yet still pretty comfortable.

I drive mine from Houston to Oklahoma once every 3 months or so, 7-8 hr trip and 500 miles each way. No problems, and really comfortable. I dont have any complaints.

Done the 8 hour 500mile drive a couple of times and it was the best ever. Most comfortable I can remember being. And I have done this trip in at least a dozen cars. :(

I've taken several long trips with mine - the latest was to the Oshawa Canada homecoming in June. I left Oshawa at 7:15 am and arrived home near Raleigh, NC at 10:15 p.m. Stopped twice for gas - and was all by myself. Was a grueling day - thank god for the iPod!!
Car rode like a dream.. You won't have a problem. Good luck.. |

The Camaro is a great road car! You'll be amazed at how comfortable you are driving those long distances. Your powerful V6, 6 speed tranny, and independent rear suspension will make the trip effortless. You won't be disappointed.

Just drove mine from Las Vegas to Upstate NY, long drive right? Only complaint I had was the transmission tunnel is a little incovienant. I'm a big boy but the was plenty of leg room that I could still move my legs around to be comfy. On a 0-10 I guess I would judge it a 7 for the ride. Got 27 mpg for the entire trip. Good Luck and enjoy the ride, it's still a Camaro!

Most I've done in the Camaro (so far) is a 4 hour trip which I've also done in my old Trailblazer SS.
Let me just say, the seats are about 15x better than that of the TBSS (and in my opinion, these are the best seats I've ever sat in compared to 12 or so 'higher end American made vehicles') and the ride is one of the things that sold me on this car. I simply couldn't get over how well it handled yet rode so nicely - TBSS = bouncy as hell compared to the Camaro in ride. I got out after the 4 hour trip and it was like I hadn't even been driving for 4 hours. In the TBSS, you felt it after you got out. Just my 2 cents.
