Even if you change hoods, you will still use the liner, no (or is there a different liner)? That is where it goes, there is a space for it. It's made for the cut out in the hood liner.

Well I am getting the sinister hood and it is a ram air hood I dont know if the liner will fit or not

Can you make the frame a bit thicker than the inserts? Maybe the frame in 4.5mm and the inserts in 3mm?
