Which Floor Mats Should I Get?

Well I just got the great news that my new baby was just built so figured I'd celebrate by buying her her first present for when she arrives: floor mats (I know I'm spoiling her...).

Anyways I've pretty much narrowed it down to the GM premium ones (even though it's orange...it looks close enough to red, right?):

And the Lloyd's ones:

Now if I get the Lloyd's mats - I'd probably get that red trim as well.

I also live in New England so I need to pick up some rubber mats for the bad weather. The GM ones (while lesser quality I'm told) look like they might be suited better for the winter. Do you think I could get away with just these? Or still get rubber mats?

Or should I go with the Lloyd's mats and get rubber ones? Ahhhhh so many decisions.

Thanks for your help!

Your car should come with plain, carpet-matching GM floor mats up front only. My 2011 2SS/RS did. I got the GM ones and the fit and finish is perfect as you should expect. My car has the IO interior, and while the GM mats are "orange-ish", they could double as "red-ish" too depending on your perspective.

Will you have rear passengers? The GM set is all 4, not sure of the Lloyds. I personally like the fact that there is a rubber surface where your feet rest, I think it is more duarable than all fabric. My 02 Camry has all fabric which has worn thru by now where my heal rests (Toyota quality mats BTW).

My vote is with GM, however I have no experience with any other manufacturer.

As for winter driving? If you have to do it in a Camaro, throw the OE plain ones back in and go to wally world and get some rubber gereric ones to put on top of them, saving your nice ones for summer.

I have the Weathertech floor mats. Best mats I've ever bought for all of my cars.

If you don't want to provide helpful information, then please don't post. Ugh!

Ok, back to the question. I've had Lloyd's mats in my car for over a year and they still look new when I clean them. You might want to look on their site (http://www.lloydmats.com), they have more than one type of mat. I wish I had shopped a bit more when I got mine. I would have gotten the heavier mat. When mine wear out (if the wear out), then I'll get their plushest mats (Luxe mats). But, they are pricey.

You can get the Lloyds sets in 2 or 4. As for wearing out, when and if they do just buy a new sets of fronts. These are really high quality mats, I don't see them wearing out anytime soon.

HAHAHA thanks for the support!

I know I must be crazy asking a Camaro accessory related question on a Camaro fourm...you know where people with first hand knowledge can give you their opinions so you can make an informed purchase.

Uhh Idk on the rear passengers...probably not but I imagine I'd get the mats anyways. Yeah that's the thing...I also like the rubber part on the GM mats.

I like the look of both. I'll probably end up getting cheap rubber ones either way. So probably leaning towards more of a "which looks better" issue....
