Sweet!!! Well, at least that is one small accomplishment!!! Now we just have to wait and see what they do for the rear wheels. Thanks for doing the test fit for us!!!

No problem my fellow camaro brothers. I tried to just buy the fronts and no dice. O well, I thought I'd ask. I'm thinking about buying the whole set ($700!!) and selling the rears to someone with a mustang

Two legs and an arm. That's why us poor guys are looking at a cheaper alternative. And they are light!

The wheels themselves (w/o tires) will run you about $500 a piece. I can only guesstimate on the weight at probably 14-16 lbs. on the front, and probably about 18-20 lbs. on the rear.

Wait. What? We are a bunch of jerks? First of all, I'M the one who said something. No one else did. But why don't you think about your post?? You honestly don't think what you said was rude and uncalled for? You just rudely expressed your unwanted negative opinion. Let me refresh your memory " I'm sorry but cast wheels are junk" ok. We already know they aren't as quality as bogarts. I can't afford bogarts. I WON'T afford it either. It's not worth it when most of us are just going to use them for track days. You drive everyday on your bogarts, so I can understand you'd want a netter wheel. But telling us the wheels we are all waiting for is junk, really isn't called for. How would you like it if I called you an idiot for spending $500 per wheel? I'm sure you wouldn't like it would you? I'm sure you'd have something to say back. That's just basically a human defense mechanism that's natural. Same thing with you saying the wheels we are junk. I got defensive, and rightfully so.

So I must be a super duper idiot for spending $650 per wheel, then $35 for center caps!!Keep up your persistance. I don't doubt you'll find a solution. You are a man on a mission. Can you get a spacer for the backs? Or will it have to be like an inch thick to clear the calipers?

Let's face it, the Bogarts aren't really a good choice for street applications. For the record, 17 x 5 Bogarts are $636.00 and 17 x 10s are $672.00. Add $35.00 per wheel if you want center caps. The Welds RTS can be driven on the street and the 18" wheels don't interfere with the LCA. 18" skinny Welds are $566 each and have a $50.00 rebate if you buy 2. That's $516.00 per wheel. The 18 x 10 1/2 RTS is $621 each and it also has a $50.00 rebate per wheel for a total of $571.00 each. You must buy a pair to get the rebate. If you insist on a 17", the 17 x 10 RTS sells for $494 and the 17 x 5 RTS sells for $468.99. The 17" wheels only have a $25.00 rebate per wheel and some folks have had rear LCA interference problems on lowered cars. BMR and Spohn both offer LCAs that are supposed to solve the interference problems.

Hey now! I wasn't really calling anyone and idiot (I had a feeling you'd say something! Lol!) I was just using it as an example. Anyway, the spacer would have to be about an inch thick. My buddy at work was telling me about a company who makes a spacer that holds up to 800rwhp, but in all honesty, I don't like spacers at all. I'd buy the bogarts before I go that route. Race star emailed me last week and heres a copy and paste of their email:

Our 17x4.5 fit the SS now, we are making the 17x9.5 as we speak.* Should be ready in about a month.* Our 20” series will be released the first of the year.

I'm just going to wait I think. I'm in no hurry. Hell, in this heat, I can barely spin the tires right now! I am doing a vigilante stall soon and then I'll do heads an cam. I'm sure after the stall I'll need sticky tires, but right now I'm not concerned. I was getting these wheels super cheap with tires and it they would have been closer to working...I would not have passed up the deal. I do really like the bogarts no doubt...and who knows, I may get a wild hair and buy a set, especially if I come across a deal...but I have alot more other things to buy right now.
