If my car hadn't broke down last time I woulda been there tonight. Every time I go, I'm the only Gen5 there. Would be nice to see how I stack up against peers.

Does this mean you no longer need my old rear diffuser?

I still would like to have it. That mod was grandfathered in.

13.775 finally in the 13s, but still not happy with it. I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong to improve. 4k launches turn into burn outs, 2k launches turn into stalls, and my good runs (13.83 and 13.77) were right at 2.5k during accelleration (not standing rpm).
Last time I couldnt get out of the 14s and even started in the 15s, so I guess driver skill is improving! Got called out by a S2000, laughed in his face, then missed a shift and sent the car sideways like a toolbag... fortunately I recomposed, caught up to him, and ran a 14.8 and he ran 15.1! I need to go sometime with someone who knows how to drag these cars. I'd like to get into the low 13s. there were a bunch of GTOs, G8s, and even a fiero there! (the fiero ran 13.5 with a 3800sc). One of the G8s is now pushing 628 hp to the wheels. Blue-bayou, go say hi to the G8 guys next to the food stand. They are part of a small G8/Camaro group we have and that we drag with. they go to one of the 3 strips every week, and they are going to upload when and where they are going to the TSGMP calendar. I'll also go if you give me heads up. No other 5th gen camaros, but a lot of newer mustangs.

They are both right next to eachother though, so it should be easy to find people between the two!

Oh, all right. Well, they are right next to each other, so we'll figure something out.

Brooks... We can talk today (if I come), tho I am not drag racer, the launch is everything and to master the launch you HAVE to slip the clutch.
Read up on some posts here, most people get the best results by slipping the clutch. Yes, it stinks, yes it reduces the life of the clutch BUT it will get you the best times. Don't just dump the clutch... you want to be right at the point where the tires are getting max grip and the car is launching and all the "spinning" is on the clutch. I am serious. With your mods (basically none) 13.77 is pretty good. You wont get 12s unless you are REALLY good at launching... if even then. If I had more money than sense I'd let you run my car. I bet a good driver could turn a less than 13 with it... I know I sure as hell can't! We all know what happened the one and only time I tried. ![]() And I am more of a race track kinda guy. Going to Beaverun flat out day on Sept 9th. Cant wait. Its a track, with other cars out there with you... Wish me luck to keep the car in one piece! www.beaverun.com look for flat out days |

I'm trying to design a car show display for my '76 Camaro. I have no artistic design skills but I managed to draft what is shown in the picture below.
Anyone want to help me with some constructive criticism? Below are links showing other car's displays. http://www.carshowdisplay.com/index_files/Page364.htm http://www.carshowdisplay.com/index_files/Page376.htm |
