Great cars, great experience, thanks for sharing. I remember seeing most of those cars at Chicago Auto Shows 1980's through this year. Cool!!

Buick called them 'Ventiports', everyone else calls them 'port holes' or 'fender vents.' I believe they were functional in '49 and cosmetic after that. Buick put them on the cars to signify how many cylinders the car had. V6s had 3 on each side and the V8s had 4 on each side.

The purple car is a Corvette. And its essentially being built right now to be the worlds fastest production car. Look it up. http://www.gtr-xs.com/ Its called the Dagger GT.

The GM hy-wire. I am pretty sure it was the first Hydrogen powered car. With no peddles it was built so that the body could be removed in 30 min and another one attached. Awesome car, they need to build it now.
