Mobile 1 Full Synthetic and AC Delco filter for me to. Not stopping anytime soon seeing as we have a 275K mile motor still running in our 98' Chevy Cavalier using that mix as soon as it was available.

Please put a better filter if you are using Redline, At least a semi-synthetic filter..

Ditto, you beat me to it. You gain very little running a "real" synthetic and a mediocre filter. AC Delco filters only filter to 35-40um absolute.

Sounds good NavyDood, I also leaning to maybe using Amsoil oils. What would you suggest for a quality filter?

+1
There are lots of oil discussions but what would you guys consider a "good" oil filter?
I know, for motorcycles, Scotts make a washable reusable filter that filters down to ridiculous microns.

They are fine. There are much better options available though. Mobil 1 , WIX Platinum or Amsoil Ea15k50. Amsoil has the best filter available at this time. A NAPA Gold/WIX is just a smidge better than a AC Delco.

You can use a Royal Purple filter, which has Pure synthetic Glass media. Napa has come out with a new filter, Napa Platinum Synthetic, also a pure synthetic media filter. Amsoil Ea filters are pure synthetic as well.

Those are the three readily available pure synthetic media filters. There are others, but they are a bit harder to find. Mobil 1 filters are a synthetic blend.
