I think this goes both ways as my boyfriend thinks I'm an idiot for spending so much on a "sunny day car". However, when I first brought it home he was super excited that the street bike was gone (traded in :-( ) and he bugged me for 3 months to drive it! Unfortunately we did have a screaming match about it one day, but I think my points hit home for him "We're not married, it's my money, **** off" and everything has been kosher for a year now. He does seem to puff out his chest a little when people ask about it ("Oh, yeah that's my girlfriend's") he even stopped parking in the garage for fear of door dinging it!

No, I am lucky and dont have this problem. She does tease me some and tell me that I am obsessed. But in fact, her list of mods is bigger than mine.

Just last week we were looking at some other Camaro5 cars, and she *informed* me that my first big mod is going to be Lambo doors... And here I was thinking that tinted windows would be cool... Oh, well, better not fight it... I guess I should start saving $ though, because this chick/car combo is gonna get expensive, but I am really digging them both and want to keep 'em around for a while.

I have a wife who has no interest in riding in my Camaro. I am afraid to mention the cost of a SC because she would think I am crazy for even considering spending that much on an add-on for the car, especially after paying an insane $36K. Needless to say, she's an A-to-B driver and would rather I spent the money on something more practical like a new kitchen, etc.

If your spouse or significant other in 'on board' then consider yourself lucky.:(
Yo stop talking about my wife

My wife has a lifted JK Wrangler she 4 wheels, which is more of a money pit than a Camaro could ever be. Every time she takes it out I get a new list of crap that is broken and needs to be replaced, or needs to be upgraded. Worst part is she has a 2010 SS also that she wants mods for!

Maybe I have a long lost sister...your wife!

My current list includes a new front bumper for my Wrangler and a winch.

My wife gets it. But then again, she's had to put up with me, cars and airplanes for thirty years now.

A new kitchen is not something more practical, a new Harley is. My wife hates my SS and will not ride in it. Sometimes, only sometimes, when I am driving it without her do I miss having her in the car. If she would rather ride in my winter 2001 Buick Century, so be it. It is her choice.
