wow why put a 350 carb engine and not an LSX engine which would have been an easy swap, and u'd find headers for it with ease. any who, ur gonna need some custome ones made, best bet contact american racing headers, they can help u out. they do tons of custom headers.

this is just the place for that info. Quote:
as for headers, you might not be able to run LT's with the motor in that engine bay. but you can find some "block huggers" that will work, however you will more than likely have to fab up your own y-pipe

Get a set of headers for a 93-97 F-car. They should work. Definately the shorties/mid lengths. The Lt's might need a little massaging. The y-pipe would even work out.

maybe. LT1's had that nice D-port exhaust that might not work completely with standard 350 heads

I would trade that little bit of power for the ease of install. 4th gen exhausts are difficult enough as it is.

If you dont mind me asking how much work was involved in the swap? What there any major alterations that needed to be done to get everythiing to bolt up? I have a fairly healthy 355 in my 69 SS, I would like to fut a 502 in it and swap the 355 into my 98, just not sure of how hard of a swap that it.
Since an old car with modern drivetrain is a restomod...would you call this setup a vintagemod? |
