James is a great kid. He will enjoy it and respect it.

If it were me, I would let him.. with a couple of rules.
No racing anyone on the street. No taking all his friends for a ride when out of site. Allow him to take his date to/from the event. ABSOLUTELY No drinking or Cell phone use. Have fun, and don't break your trust, otherwise it's the first and last time. Be responsible and don't abuse the privilege. You are a good man Randy! Most people here probably wouldn't allow it. |

No doubt about it...yes. If you respect him, he will respect you and the car. Let him have an unforgetable fun night.

If you trust him, do it. I went to on of my proms last year in my camaro and another in a stretched hummer. Camaro was definitely a better memory. Your son will thank you forever

PQ it's your son. It's only a car. Take precautions and if your boy has not had any real issues to be worried about and you trust he will do the right thing. Go for it. You will be his hero once again and he will remember it long long after the car is gone.
I am told i am very much a sucker with my girls but, hell why not. My girls are 7 and LOVE the car. I put them in my lap and let them steer it in the driveway while going about 2MPH. LOL |

What I was trying to say is kids (at least from my hometown) didn't throw after parties and stuff of that nature after homecoming. So I don't think alcohol would be an issue... although I'm sure randy has raised his son to not drink and drive. Prom is where all the after parties, drinking and sex was. JFME. (Just from my experience) Hope he has a good time...but make sure you remind him the vette isn't a womans car.
