Can't get much further south than me and I never heard of it. Sad story, but sadder still would have been anyone dead.
Just property, they will live on to buy more Camaros. I actualy got scared thinking it was something to do with cancellation of the 5thgen.

too bad about the losses:(

Here is my reason why, 2 of my best friends were driving in a car. driver has his belt on, passenger did not. Driver wrecked, Passenger dies.

Best friend driver now serving 4 years in a maximum security prison because of an accident. They found him negligent for speeding, and didn't give him a vehicular manslaughter, and gave him 1st deg. murder.

(responsibility of driver to not put the car into gear until the pass. puts seat belt on, as well as rear seats too.)

always wear your seat belt. its just smart

To the OP: Wasnt the mid 90's some of the worst years for fatalities for the camaros, followed VERY close by the mustangs?

As to seatbelts -- anyone who has spent any time with me knows I'm a fanatic about safety belt usage.

Some will say ".......well......they're uncomfortable......."

To those I say " ...SITTING IN A WHEELCHAIR (OR WORSE) FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE IS EVEN more UNCOMFORTABLE!!!......."

NO EXCUSES, PEOPLE!!!!
Three things I usually think of (other than Camaro) when I see one of Fbodfather's posts -

Black Suburbans
Safety

which reminded me of this video:

If anyone thinks that being in a big vehicle, like a Suburban, means you don't need a seatbelt...

Pay close attention 55 seconds in. After being ejected, he was almost run over by the Suburban he had just been driving.

DRT = Dead Right There

My uncle (former undercover officer, who now works for TABC) uses it all the time.

You should put on a helmet every single time you get on your bike and intend to go on the street. I don't want to sound naggy or anything but let me tell you a short story. I had a close friend to me die a year ago in a motorcycle crash. We were only back from our first deployment for 9 days when it happened. He was only going 30 mph and going around a turn and some jackass not paying attention pulled out in front of him so he swerved, scraped the curve, and went flying off his bike hitting a tree head first. the tree was only about 3 inches in diameter. He was NOT wearing a helmet. If he was, I would be suprised if he had any more than a headache for a couple days. Survived 15 months in hell only to die 9 days later because he didn't take the 4 seconds to strap on his helmet. RIP Johnny.

I'm very sorry for your loss. But, Knowing Chad, I'm pretty sure he meant he sometimes wears a helmet when driving his car...

First of all that is a regrettable loss of vehicles but again a human life is irreplaceable. There is NO excuse for no seatbelt. Fbod hit the nail on the head. My mother was a volunteer paramedic for Harris County when I was a kid and I still remember that chilling saturday morning when mom looked like she was about to cry. When I asked her what was wrong she said last night she sent 3 kids to the morgue because they weren't strapped in. That's enough incentive for me.

C'mon guys there are way too many ways that your life can be taken unexpectedly and this one is avoidable. To most of us it should be second nature, I don't even think about it anymore.
