just because you can do something doesnt mean you should.

I plan on just telling them to skip the free gas unless they're convincing that they'll put premium in it. I might just ask them and see what the answer is. If they're like "Premium, duh!" I'll let em do it but if they're unsure or just say regular, I'll tell em that I'll fill it up on my own.

Premium isn't always 93. Some states premium is only 91 octane and regular 85. depends on what part of the country and what their EPA standards are.

LOL it will be fine just run it till the idiot light comes on the fill with your choice of swill.

Wasting peoples time and your money by worring about it.

GM has delivered cars before putting gas in it is not on the problem list.

They would just hang up the phone and you would be the laughing stock of the dealership. Your talking about a company that has sold millions of camaro's and vettes don't ruin your pickup experiance over a petty octane issue.

Are you going to dog it full speed and do burnouts during the break in? No your going to drive it like your Miss Daisy if you care about it and want to keep it a long time.

Most of our dealers no longer have pumps on the lot.... They give you a voucher and you can go fill it up with the salesman. Odds are he will not know what it takes.

There is no "break-in" to speak of anymore as far as I'm aware. Not to mention that there are two schools of thought about break-ins when they do apply at all. Either way, it's irrelevant to the type of gas in the cars becaus eboth will run on 87 octane all day long.
