I had the same bad experince with sailbury chevy . when i heard the new camaro was coming out i called there dealership to find out about odering and there salesmen seem to be brainwashed by there sales mgt team.

they said i could order one but i would have to wait until they made big money off the first ones they would recieve[blood suckers] lol

they were close to my house so i thought i would try them first, but as soon as i find out they were looking to make extra money then the car should sell for msrp.

kind of left me with a bad taste so i checked with other dealer in my area and they are were cool and said i could order the car no problem and one dealer i mention that salsburry was puttig there cars on ebaythe salemen said that if they have to do that to stay in buiness i feel sorry for them.

i even called camaro scotty and he gave me a price on a v6 rs last week the price was fair and when i called sucksburry chevy to do a drop ship they said no

Fair enough...

Bottom line... Are there a lot of unhappy campers because they aren't already driving their cars? Yes. But they know they are coming, and the reason is because some dealers chose to place "their" customers first.

We will have our cars soon enough... by the end of the fall you will have a few lot cars available to sell, and you won't need to sell them, they will sell themselves. Which is exactly why I have no problem with how you are doing it... just WHEN you are doing it.

Just like you have a right to sell however you want, I have a right to say what I want. Just remember that nothing you can say will change the fact that this is a unique situation, the majority of members on this board know the Camaro Pre-order process front and back. And I can guarantee that has made a lot of dealers all over the country look really bad.

No hard feelings. I am just voicing my opinion.

I think it's about time this stopped... Hi Dan, I'm Sean.

So we should use you for good and not evil now?

I assume the TT you were talking about is done on site? I would be interested to see what your plans were for this setup. I doubt I would go that route, but I'm curious to know what supporting mods you are thinking of. Or are you talking way down the road and basically just a thought right now?

your salesmen did not really say big money, they told me they were not taking orders they were going to see how much the market would bring and hold out for as much as they could get guess.

so now since your dealership has left me with a bad taste , since i have not bought a new car in over 10 years and i was trying to buy a chevy with all thats going on with the company you work for.

parts, service and new or used cars down the road i will drive a little farther hope the extra money you make serves you well.

I've never heard of this guy or his business, but I think people are too harsh. IF you don't like the way he's doing business - don't do business with him. He's not forcing anybody to do anything. It's a market economy! IF you were in business and had something that was in a very limited supply and had the opportunity to make some quick money, would you? Be honest with yourself. If you're upset because he's trying to make some money off a few cars ask yourself how is this guy any different from the dealers who won't take employee or GM supplier discount? Look at it this way. He's a businessman who made a decision to make 5-7k off a car or two and off one or two people who want something so badly they are wiilling to pay for it (enthusiasts). Is this any worse than dealers who won't accept employee discounts or supplier discounts? They're plan is to make additional money off EVERYONE who comes in their door! So who is the real bad guy here?? The dealer willing to sell to the highest bidder (enthusiast with some bucks) or the dealer who is going to stick it to everyone eligible for a discount by not giving it to him?

I don't know Dan, it seems that you're really getting more of a bad rep for lying about not knowing how many you were going to get. If you want to make custom cars, more power to you but during these economic times I really don't know how eBay's going to work out for you.

Also, what's the MSRP of the cars you've got on eBay and what's your reserve (markup)?
