All this pissing and moaning about the 2013 GT500 having 650HP, well duh, they used a 2300liter SC, the ZL1 is only a 1.9...... easliy fixed by using the LS9, or just the SC off of the motor

Can anyone tell me what the standard wheels will be? The black ones we've all seen before? If the shiny aluminum ones are an extra option, what is standard?
In my experience there is a huge difference between Ford HP and Chevy HP. 650 Ford HP?.... meh we will see what really happens. |

imho the ZL1 parts are in the pipeline? ready to be assembled in a few months. Seems GM might have a logistical problem getting anything else in the supply line to boost the HP on the ZL1. "The best part about the 2013 Ford Mustang lineup though is that you don't have to wait until the end of next year to see it, as Ford will be rolling it out this coming spring. With an all-new Mustang arriving just in time for its 50th anniversary in 2015, this update will likely be the last we'll see for the current pony". OK! GUYS,ZL1, will be very nice cars,BUT i have too say, those cars wil be at a slitely
disadvantage, with some of the 2010,2011, allready running 600,700,800 hp at rear wheels. SO, do I SPEND 60k OR do I upgread. Thats my question |

Ford killed the best rear wheel drive vehicle they had world wide in the Ford AU Falcon. A Mustang built on the Falcon platform with a 650 HP motor would have been an incredible automobile, one that would have had GM worried. I am afraid what Ford will release as an all new Mustang will look remarkably like the 68 Mustang and the 2010 Mustang on a two post lift.

and the answer is.. it depends on you and what you want.
If you want a full warranty and a lot of power and aren't going to kill said warranty, then get a new one and leave it alone. Otherwise, mod what you've got... Sure you could sell what you've got, trade it in and get something new with a more purpose built start... but, you have to factor in the cost of your current mods, plus how much you've spent on the car and take in to account the amount you're going to lose in trade-in. That number will tell you how much more cost effective it will be for you. Also --- try to remember to like what you have because you like it... otherwise, you're going to forever be chasing top dog and end up broke. |

Upgrade for me is the answer. I will get the same bang for my buck HP power wise for a lot less money rather than spend $60,000 plus on a ZL1.

Good point! Good point!
Put a 2.3 on the ZL1, and what do you get? Anybody done it on the CTS-V??
