I just got back from talking with the GM of my dealer, he got word an hour ago that the Launch event has been postponed.....I'm just the messenger...can anyone confirm?

Not accurate. I just read on Dealerworld messenger that most dealers can expect their showroom car around May 2nd to the 5th for the unveiling.

Just got back from a dealer and he said he has 2 comming in in a week and a half, both dealer cars.

That doesnt really apply to anyone anyways, just no demos for people, but there still will be deliveries!

Dealer just called me in San Antonio. My car was pulled for build yesterday (3000). She said they have a bright yellow camaro on their showroom right now that they are not allowed to sell. She said it is GM's car for customers to check out.

She said GM also told them they were getting another v-6 next week that they are not allowed to sell.

She said the dealership's owner, ordered the first one out of 15 allocated, his has been built sine the end of March; however, GM will not ship them the car until May 6. She said she did get a message from GM that May 6 is the official unveiling date.

She said it is really ridiculous. She said mine will be built by the end of April, so I can plan on mid May for delivery.

Yes Cavendar Chevy in Boerne. Real nice folks. Bought several cars from them.

Not sure if she said they could ot sell the v-6 they are getting,thinking back, I am not sure if that is what she said. She did say they were told a v-6 was coming - she did not know what model,etc...

I don't see how dealers are going to have a car for the May 6th reveal I don't have mine or my V6 for the store and neither have been shipped and mine had a vin on April 2nd. But with the 1st caar coming in today I don't see them delivering 3000+ Cars in 2 weeks. Talking about dealer V6 for the reveal.

Interesting. Heard the same thing from my dealer yesterday. My car can't be delivered before May 6th. Was hoping to get it for a local All Camaro show on May 2nd. But yet, we are seeing cars being delivered!

Can anyone confirm or refute this? CamaroScotty?

How can they not deliver it to you if it is there. We saw one member take delivery of his car today. I have not heard anything from GM saying we had to hold customer cars from delivery. You should be able to pick up your car when it comes in. JMO
