Not necessarily. We seem to be missing VINs intermitently and anything above 2500 seems to have a chance of not having to go through the BCM reprogram. We may not have all of them but VINs in the 3800-4000 range are not out of the question at this point.

As the dealer gets weekly allocations, he matches a car to "availability". Do you know how many idiots were/are in front of you paying 5+k?

I was told that they originally had 16 allocated to this particular dealership and I was 10th on the list. But the dealer made it sound like someone off the street could come in today order one and be first on the list if they wanted to pay 5k over MSRP.

Unfortunately, he can do pretty much whatever he wants to do- unless you have your spot and price in writing. Then it's considered an offered and accepted contract as far as I'm concerned. I could be wrong but I don't think so.
