So does that mean the headlights will be projectors with halo's and the vents will either be cut out or have black paint in the resesses?

If camero really works for GM and works that close to the Camaro-- then he is telling us something about the way it looks; overall that it definitely does not look exactly the same as the concept.

...and that the production model does have more than one headlight assembly per side.

I think he was referring to the reverse lights in the bumper, not a dual headlight set-up.

Yeah I know, but that made me re-read camero's post and gave me an idea.

So the first time she fills up, she drove off with the nozzle still in her car. So because of your state's stupid rule, the rest of the US suffers. We should start a movement to overturn it right now.
I'd say most of Oregon and New Jersey would consider the other states the ones with the 'stupid rule' that you have to pump your own gas.

For many reasons I have no desire to pump my own gas. When the weather is bad and I'm driving somewhere dressed nice, why would I want to get out of the car and pump gas? Why would I want my hands to reek of gas?

Face it, Oregon and NJ are the only states with the sense to think of the drivers convenience.

What are you doing pouring it on you after you fill the tank? In all my years of pumping my own gas, yes, that's right, pumping my own, I've never reeked of gas from it. Oh, and another thing. I would prefer not to have my gas costs any higher by having to pay someone to pump my gas. Even if I had to have someone pump it by some stupid assanine law, I would stand there and watch every move this flunky made to make sure that gas didn't get anywhere it wasn't supposed to be. Like the paint. Or what about the attendant who isn't paying attention or is admiring the vehicle too much and dings the nozzle into your paint.

Nope, sorry, have to disagree with you here.........

And BTW, we had full service as well as self service here for years and people got tired of paying the higher pricer per gallon so they never went to those islands, the attendants just stood around, and that was that.......

I don't get why many of you want to say "whoo-ray" for GM. It's like some baseball or football team you're rooting for. If GM is making bad decisions by making changes, then express them. Good for all of you who have.

What's worse is those of you who assume that GM is making changes for good reasons. NOPE. On what basis do you make such an assumption?...None....just 'cause you like GM, or something silly like that.

Someone on this thread said it right...it's about money! It would cost them too much to put that gas cap on top.

The change to the rear bumper and the backup lights....that's just poor choices by GM designers. And no, don't post giving me some made up reasons as to why they had to do that, like to meet some code, etc. We all know they can design just about anything they want.

The change to the rear bumper and the placement of the backup lights was a design change. A very poor design change at that.

I say to GM...make it like the concept! Sure, change the things you have to, but not those that you don't.

I see........

So --who told you that?

The facts are:

>gas filler isn't where it was on the concept due to crashworthiness-- we don't want cars exploding.

>Rear bumper changed in order to meet federal impact standards.

>Backup lights moved onto fascia because it was unrealistic to put them where they were on the concept - down with the exhaust tips........

We have struggled to keep this car as close as possible to the concept - because we know it was so well received. That said -- changes DO need to happen for a real world.

someone asked why the backup lights aren't on either end of the license plate...and the reason is that we are going to be exporting the Camaro to several countries -- and many of those countries -- esp. Europe - have longer license plates -- meaning that they'd cover the backup lights.

As 'Camero', I believe, pointed out -- we do NOT sit in our offices trying to come up with ways to change this car -- we do NOT want to make changes to 'water' down this design.........there are very solid reasons for every change you will see on this car.

......and by the way -- there are a lot of 'cool' things that you haven't seen yet! (some not even in the concept!)
