I'm going with a home equity line too, it makes the most sense. Interest write off is a big plus.

What's the lock on Penfed? That is, how long is it good for after you apply?

Anybody know what the current GMAC rates are? Not the special 0% financing (which isn't going to happen on this car) but just a normal 60 month note?

That's who I'm with and they are claiming they won't rate match at this time due to the market. They will either match the rate give to me from the lowest I find, or I will obviously go w/ the lowest I find. ...and here they are....

Pentagon Federal Credit Union (PENFED) does 3.99 for 60 months

Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union is doing 3.7 right now....don't know loan term....probably 60 months.

For both of these loans, you must be a member....not a big deal....easy to get done.

However, I'm going to go w/ RBFCU and get all set up and approved. When it comes time, I'm calling USAA offering them the opportunity to pick up my loan (since everything I do is with USAA and we've been a member with them for over 12 years). If USAA does not match, I'm going to be PISSED OFF!!!
