The Camaro wins hands down in every department
!
Matrix its cool, to each their own ! I personally love the challenger I think its the best looking of the 3. I love that it loos the most like a 70-era muscle car which I love.

The camaro on the other hand is a very nice car, if the challenger never came out I would have gotten a camaro hands down.

Mustang 05-09 are nice but not for my taste, 2010 they ruined it

and you believe those numbers? nice dumpster diving for horrible numbers

lingenfelter ran the camaro at 13.6 seconds... should i take those numbers and use them like you did?

to the OP i think you should buy the car that you love, no matter what anyone says, sit in it dfrive it make your decision and dont base it on power alone there are too many things to a car to simply compare power and make your big purchase decision. and yes nothing beats getting a new car.

Problem with the Challenger is price and it's too slow for the price. I've lately considered the 2009 mustang as with some options a GT is $25,420 with the -$3500 Ford is offering. Now I can get a Ford supercharger for $7,029 with a warranty if I can get them to install it as part of the deal. That equals $32,449, with 550 hp and a warranty. While I would rather have a Camaro I almost think the Mustang is too good of a deal to pass up. I only wish G.M. offered the Camaro with an LS7 for 38k ish as I'd jump on that though i'd be stretching what I can afford. It's just killing me as the Mustang is such a good deal but I don't know if I could go through with purchasing one.
oh thats EASY! –
get the CAMARO.

if you dont,
... once you do something else, then see more and more in person/on the road.... youll kick yourself in the arse. stangs are nice, and very cool...
but .... CAMARO is something all its own and by far the clear winner here.

good luck either way!

You need to go reread that, it was not supercharged, that was with the track pack, sway bars, 3.73 gears. The track pack is an extra 3 grand. Nice try though

simple math says thats unlikely. the 415 hp mustang should be even if not beat the camaro in the quarter because of the weight difference between the two cars

I love all the chevy guys that say their car will blow the mustang out of the water when theres only a .3 time difference in the qaurter mile, thats not even half a hood distance.

Isn't a tenth equal to a car length? Its certainly not half a hood, that would be about 3 feet, which would mean about 10 ft/sec. Thats roughly 7mph. Perhaps you are doing 7 mph trap, but I don't think you'll win many races that way

i dont get why people still grab the lowest numbers they can find and use it as a real base number for any vehicle they are comparing to. especially if the numbers are ridiculously low.. hope you still dont buy a car based on HP alone there are just too many things to a car.

Just wondering why you think a supercharged GT will give you 550hp? I don't see that safely happening.

Don't buy anything that has a blue oval on it. That's my rule.

Theres nothing like buying a new car. Only thing is it's a real lot of money (for me anyways) if I go with the Camaro or the Charger. Also with the mustang I don't have to wait for them to build it not knowing when I will be getting it or if there are wheel weights on the calipers All kidding aside though I do love G.M. I just wish the Camaro was cheaper though I dont think it's a "bad" deal just more than i wanna spend
You can buy a 1SS for as much as the supercharged GT is going to cost you. Im going for the camaro this time for looks more than performance, though I'm atill hoping to supercharge my 2SS and hopefully get 550rwhp once Im done modding it.

I personally wish I had the patience to wait for the 2012 Mustang. I'll probably end up with a Camaro though, if not that then a Challenger RT fully loaded... If neither of those.... fully loaded '10 GT with the track pack....

If I wanted to increase my price range I'd most likely end up with a '10 GT500..

Go with what you want. It's imperative to buy what YOU want to buy.
